Why a pink tool kit?
Because the tool aisle is grey, heavy and a bit intimidating, and most of us only need tools for the little jobs: tightening glasses, changing a battery cover, building the bookshelf, fixing the wobbly cabinet handle. A tool kit you actually like is a tool kit you actually keep out and use.
What to look for
- Electric, not manual. A small electric screwdriver does the twisting for you, which is a lot easier on tiny screws and flatpack.
- The right bits. Phones, glasses and gadgets use small screw heads like Phillips, Torx, pentalobe and tri-wing. A good set covers them all.
- Steel bits. Soft bits strip and round off. Steel ones last.
- USB-C charging. One less cable to find.
- Something you won’t hide in the shed. If it looks good on the bench, you’ll reach for it.
